True, some bands did get back together. Look at Sigue Sigue Sputnik a few years back. As for the Pixies, I'm hearing it's more than a rumor--they're headlining the Coachella Music Festival this year, with the Cure and a whole bunch of other bands you and I used to listen to in high school.
