Wobbly!

I suppose this is the city welcoming me back...!

Nothing major, just a few shakes, but I'm actually a bit surprised at where it is, considering we rarely get quakes centered out that way. O_O

[meme] Day 09. A song that you can dance to

Of course, I could be silly and post Sparks' "Music that You Can Dance To" but that would be too easy. ;)

So instead, I give you THE BEST DANCE SONG EVER.

OH WEE OH WEE OH )

I heart [livejournal.com profile] emmalyon

She's got my number she always did
She can always see where my secret's hid
Everything about me is hers to tell
She's got my number she always will

She's got my number I must confess
One look in her eyes and I feel undressed
She can see right through all my little games
She's got my number she has my name

Late night driving with the telephone
In the car and I'm always
Waiting, waiting for the girl to call
I'll be lost on a lonely late night

She's got my number I must confess
One look in her eyes and I feel undressed
All of the world's standing at her door
She don't even care what they're waiting for
And every mistake that I ever made
Every little sin is on her display
And through it all I find that I want her still
She's got my number she always will

Late night driving with the telephone
In the car and I'm always
Waiting, waiting for the girl to call
I'll be lost on a lonely
Late night highway with the telephone
In the car and I'm always
Waiting, waiting for the girl to call
I'll be lost on a lonely
Late night

She's got my number she always did
She can always see where my secret's hid
Everything about me is hers to tell
She's got my number she always will

Happy 5th Anniversary, [livejournal.com profile] emmalyon...I love you!! :)

[writing] Proof that flying isn't a total bore

On the longer flight back home from Dulles (our stopover) on Sunday morning, I spent a good couple of hours with a pen, a steno pad, and my Zune set on random, and wrote a whole mess of notes and a very skeletal timeline for Walk in Silence. This included bands and albums to be referenced, media and history influences, and even the start of a theory as to how and why the 84-86 era of college rock came about.

I'm quite happy about all of this.
