Post #2: Workin' for the man...eventually / Driving 'round
Halfway through week 3 in January and I still haven't gotten any bites in the job department. I should be hearing from the temp agency soon, though. I hope. In the meantime I sent out about five resumes on jobs I found on craigslist. Tomorrow I might be doing some retooling of the job search site listings I have emailed to me, just to see if I get anything more suited for what I need.
In the meantime, I'll be heading out to Fremont tomorrow evening, which is about 40 miles away, to meet up with some writer friends from Forward Motion. They get together about once a month to chat and crit and whatnot so I'm looking forward to meeting some of them in RL. Should be fun! I'm also going simply so I can get used to driving around the Bay area and not just relying on the MUNI or the BART or just staying on the peninsula. I wanna know how to get more places, dang it! (NOTE TO SELF: bring some ones so I can pay the Bay Bridge toll! :p )
Which also reminds me...Emm is heading down to L.A. on Sunday and then for a quick day trip to Dallas, so I have to learn how to drive down to SFO (SF Airport, that is), but I think I kinda know how to get there already so that won't be a problem.
